For decades, Island Sound Studios (formerly Avex Honolulu) has welcomed some of the world's most influential artists, producers, and creative teams. From landmark albums including Kanye West's 808s & Heartbreak and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy to immersive songwriting camps and private artist lockouts, our facility has a unique history of bringing extraordinary talent together in an extraordinary setting.

An Artistic Residency transforms Island Sound Studios into a private creative headquarters, allowing artists and their teams to step away from traditional studio schedules and immerse themselves entirely in their work.

Multiple world-class recording environments, legendary Rooms, private lounges, intimate performance spaces, and a stunning waterfront setting create a self-contained campus

where writing, recording, collaboration, and inspiration flow naturally.

The entire facility becomes an extension of the creative process.
